EAST NEW YORK - Volunteers pitched in today to give a fresh coat of paint to Brooklyn Community Services, a mental health and wellness facility in East New York.

The work was part of the facility's "Spring Into Action" program.

"I am just overjoyed that this place is here for us," said volunteer and former client Ana Miguel. "It helps the community because it gives us a place to call home."

The facility also plans to hold a Sandy drive to collect linens and kitchenware as part of the program.
