Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Brownsville. 

The shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. near Glenmore and Van Siclen avenues.

Police say a 21-year-old man was shot in the back and neck. 

He was taken to Brookdale Hospital for treatment.

There is no word on his condition and his identity has not been released.
