Getting a haircut is a quick errand for some people, but for others, it can be an uncomfortable or even dangerous task.
That's why Khane Kutswell decided to open
Camera Ready Kutz at 73 Utica Ave. in Crown Heights.
It’s one of few black- and queer-owned barbershops in New York City.
The shop also emphasizes teaching clients to speak up about how they want to look, not how others think they should look.
