Police in Fair Lawn are working to put an end to
catalytic converter thefts -- a new program would allow residents to have their converters etched and
registered.
If enough people are
interested, the program will move forward.
According to officials, the crimes are on the rise
across the state.
CARFAX says the
most frequently stolen converters come from these trucks and cars: 1984 - 2022 Ford F
series trucks, 1988 - 2018 Honda Accords
and 2007 - 2017 Jeep Patriots.
