Firefighters rescued two people from their rooms after a fire broke out at a Bayonne motel Saturday.

Bayonne police say the fire started around 3 a.m. in a first-floor room at the Hudson Plaza Motel.

A person found in the bathroom was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. Another person was rescued from a neighboring room.

Three firefighters had minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
