Connecticut is in full bloom with gardens in public parks, historic homes and more.

In this week’s “Road Trip: Close to Home,” News 12 photojournalist Lori Golias meets with photographer Caryn Davis, whose new book is the perfect travel guide for some gorgeous getaways.

Davis’ third book is called “Connecticut Gardens” and features nearly 50 gardens from around the state.

Among her favorites is Wickham Park in Manchester, which offers 10 different themed gardens.
