The city has opened a senior center on New Utrecht Avenue that will cater to Bensonhurst's growing Chinese community.

Homecrest Community Services will offer tai chi classes, among other programs.

The center is also expected to provide nearly 24,000 meals, citizenship assistance, and arts and crafts programs.
