One person has been taken to the hospital after being shot in Canarsie Tuesday.

The shooting happened near 719 E. 103rd St. at around 5:46 a.m. inside a building, police say.

The person was taken to Brookdale Hospital in unknown condition. Police say the victim was shot in both the left and right leg.

The suspect is currently unknown and on the loose.
