Help is on the way for some people struggling to pay rent through the pandemic.
Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro and Poughkeepsie City Mayor Rob Rolison have announced $1.1 million in funding through a COVID-19 Emergency Rent and Utility Relief program.
The program is aimed to help low- and moderate-income households adversely affected by the pandemic.
While there is a temporary moratorium on evictions, payment for past-due rents will be due when the moratorium is lifted.
