Guide: How to register to vote in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York for Nov. 2021 election

The deadline to register to vote in the November elections in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York is in October.
Here's all the information you need to vote in your state:

HOW TO REGISTER IN CONNECTICUT:

In Connecticut, your application to register to vote must be postmarked or received by a voter registration agency by the 7th day before an election (OR you may register in person with your Registrar of Voters by the 7th day before an election).

HOW TO REGISTER IN NEW JERSEY:

In New Jersey, the registration deadline to vote in the next election is 21 days prior to the election day.
If you would like to vote by mail you must apply by Oct. 26 to receive your vote-by-mail ballot in the mail

HOW TO REGISTER IN NEW YORK:

The deadline to register online to vote is Oct. 8.
The deadline for registering by mail to vote is (postmarked by) Oct. 8.
The deadline to register in person to vote is Oct. 8.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is (received by) Oct. 18.
The early voting period for the November general election is Oct. 23-31.
