It is going to be an extremely hot few days this week.
A heat advisory is in effect for New York City until 8 p.m. Wednesday.

August 10, 2020 Tuesday will see highs of 90 degrees with feel-like temperatures near 95 degrees.
Increased
morning clouds and sun is predicted for Wednesday with high humidity
and heat. The high will be around 89 degrees, but the feel-like
temperatures will still be near 95 degrees.
Showers on Thursday will cool the area slightly, with a high of 88 degrees expected on Thursday.
