New Jersey native Buzz Aldrin will auction off some of his moon memorabilia on Tuesday.
One of the items included is the jacket he wore while flying to the moon aboard Apollo 11. It will be one of the most expensive jackets ever sold, expected to go for up to $2 million.
A number of Aldrin's awards, letters and medals will be for sale. Also, a pen that was used on Apollo 11 to repair a circuit breaker will be auctioned.
Aldrin says it's time to share some of the memorabilia with the world. There are 70 items in all.
Sotheby's is handling the auction at 12 p.m. Wednesday.
