Montclair officially opens Wellmont Arts Plaza in city’s downtown
The City of Montclair has added another gem to its arts district – the Wellmont Arts Plaza.

3ds agoThe City of Montclair has added another gem to its arts district – the Wellmont Arts Plaza.
The plaza is named after the historic Wellmont Theatre. The $135 million complex will be a hub for local creatives to share their art.
Complete with an open-air performing space, the plaza also houses a luxury apartment building, indoor rock climbing park and an arts school.
"I think it adds to what we already have as a thriving downtown,” says Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller. “It really connects the whole of Bloomfield Avenue where you can spend the day in Montclair. Come on out and enjoy everything with your family."
The city hopes to fill more spaces in the plaza with the work of local artists.
