The Floral Park man accused of writing "terrorist" on a Muslim-owned business is now facing a hate crime charge.
Andrew Niemer allegedly used eyeliner to put the word on a window at "Exquisite Ventures" in Floral Park.
The Nassau district attorney says that the count was added because the owner is Arabic and a practicing Muslim.
In court documents, the 58-year-old told police he "he didn't mean anything by it" and he wanted to "call News 12 and tell my side of the story."
Niemer is due back in court Dec. 15.
