A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition after falling from 10th floor balcony from a Bronx apartment building.

Police say the boy was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. The fall happened around 2:26 p.m. from the building at 1500 Noble Ave. 

They said there does not appear to be any criminality involved with the incident.

Neighbors say an office duty police officer was able to get to the boy quickly and administer CPR. They also say the boy was apparently standing on a chair on the balcony just before the fall.
