4h agoPolice say a 17-year-old was killed in a crash in Bay Shore early Tuesday.
In video obtained by News 12, a car can be seen completely mangled and flipped over.
Police say the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Pine Aire Drive near Taylor Avenue.
According to police, the driver lost control of his Infinity, slammed into a pole and the car flipped.
The front passenger, Joel Rodriguez, of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 17-year-old Marvin Pham, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries..
Students say their school had a moment of silence for Rodriguez and that this is a wakeup call for everybody.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
