Police search for gun in Spring Valley park's water

Police say they were searching for a gun Sunday in the water at Memorial Park in Spring Valley.
Cristofer Guallpa, who lives across the street from Memorial Park with his wife and four children, says police arrived around 10 a.m. He says that he saw multiple fire departments and two search and rescue crews.
Guallpa says that the area is known for crime and he has advocated for more patrolling in the neighborhood.
After three hours, the scene cleared. It was not clear if anything was found.
Authorities didn’t specify if the gun was used in a recent shooting, but police did say they had a person of interest in custody.
