Rep. Ritchie Torres says infrastructure bill will be 'game-changing' for the Bronx
Local politicians say that the infrastructure bill will be a key piece of legislation to improve transportation across New York City.
Rep. Ritchie Torres says it's the largest investment in public transit, with $10 billion going to the MTA alone. Amtrak will be getting $66 billion, which will benefit the Northeast Corridor including the four Metro-North stations.
President Joe Biden calls the bill a once-in-a-generation investment that's going to create millions of jobs and modernize our roads, bridges and broadband.
The final vote on the bill was 228-206. It will now head to Biden's desk to be signed into law.
