While Cyber Monday is considered the biggest online shopping day of the year, retail experts say there may be better deals in the store this year.
According to Adobe Analytics, Cyber Monday is projected to bring in more than $11 billion.
U.S. holiday sales online are also expected to hit $207 billion from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, which would be a new record.
However, NPD Group chief retail analyst Marshal Cohen says supply chain problems are making some consumers drive out to brick and mortar stores instead.
“Online doesn't have as big of a benefit for consumers. They've got to worry about if the item is in stock, are there shipping fees. There's no guarantees that the product is going to reach the consumer or their recipients on time,” he says.
Cohen says there may be more deals at malls as stores try to manage their inventory.
Retail experts also tell News 12 that cyber deals have been circulating since mid-October and early November, making the Monday after Thanksgiving less important.
