FORECAST:
Tomorrow's storm was looking like our first chance at seeing widespread snow, but it may be more cold rain than anything else. The storm track has been trending warmer, and this means temperatures will be and stay above freezing when most of the moisture hits our area. The early morning commute will start off dry, but by 8 a.m.- 9 a.m. snow and rain showers will start to fall. Eventually by lunchtime, any snow up North will change over to rain.
It will be a cold but soaking rain falling in the afternoon and totals could approach 1".
Snow totals for Northern Litchfield County will range from about 2-6". The highest snow totals will be where it snows the longest in the higher terrain.
Roads will either be slushy or wet and by the afternoon filled with puddles. Take it slow when you'll be on the roads.
The storm will slowly pull away through the evening commute, but the next part will be the cold winds taking over.
Patchy ice possible into Wednesday morning with temperatures falling below freezing.

Accumulating snow is possible for the northern half of the county. Snow totals will range from 2-6 inches before changing over the cold rain. Highest elevations will see more of an accumulation.
