Two robbery suspects from Brooklyn were injured after a police chase when their SUV crashed in the Bronx.
The incident happened on Webster Avenue in Fordham near the intersection of E. 188th Street Wednesday.
Shamel Aldridge, 32, and Elijah Norris, 32, both of Brooklyn, were arrested after the crash.
Police say both men entered the T-Mobile store at 370 E. Gun Hill Rd. wearing masks and armed with knives.
According to a store employee, Aldridge and Norris smashed a glass display case and stole several cellphones before running out the door.
Police located the duo's grey colored Ford Expedition a short time later and a pursuit took place.
Surveillance video from a nearby bodega shows the SUV barreling down the road before striking a taxi and flipping over.
After the crash, Aldridge can be seen attempting to run away from the SUV as police tackle him to the ground and arrest both men.
Both men and the taxi driver were transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital with minor injuries.
The men face multiple charges include grand larceny.
