Hundreds of excited fans lined up in Fort Greene Monday to watch their favorite late night talk show host tape his show.
Jimmy Kimmel has been hosting his show in Brooklyn for a week. People were lined up outside for hours. Some arrived around noon just to be among the first inside the theater.
Kimmel offered tickets to his East Coast fans to be part of his live studio audience. Kimmel has roots in Brooklyn, having spent a significant part of his childhood in the borough.
Kimmel still has friends and family in Brooklyn and says he enjoys coming back, both because of work and to see his loved ones.
The late night comedian attracts large crowds every year, and this year is no different. The line of people stretched down one block, around the corner, over another block, divided by streets and traffic.
News 12 spoke with Kimmel over the weekend about what some of these upcoming shows would look like. Although he didn't reveal too much, he did tell News 12 that fans can be excited to see Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Eddie Murphy, and much more.
