The NYPD is increasing its presence in Jewish communities around the borough after a string of anti-Semitic attacks.

The latest hate crime investigation is taking place in Borough Park after an individual wearing traditional Jewish clothing was confronted and punched by an attacker Wednesday.

Police say the victim is 40 years old and was walking home along 13 Avenue.

The victim could be seen on surveillance footage stepping aside to let a second person go by, who then punches him.

He is expected to be OK, suffering a cut to his lip. The victim refused further medical attention.

“NYPD will be relentless. The City of New York will be relentless. Anyone who commits a hate crime, we will find them and we will prosecute them,” says Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The city has seen at least eight other anti-Semitic attacks, most of them in Brooklyn, over the last few weeks.

NYPD officials detailed several different attacks Friday, the most recent in which three Jewish women were attacked, and another in which a man a entered place of worship, Lubavitch Headquarters, and threatened to shoot up the place.

Police are increasing their presence specifically in the communities of Williamsburg, Borough Park and Crown Heights.
The NYPD has made three arrests in the different cases, but they say they're still working on finding the other suspects.
