Levittown schools hold honk and hello parade through students' neighborhoods

With schools shut down, some teachers in Levittown used a unique way to lift students' spirits.

The teachers at Summit Elementary School in Levittown decided to hold a honk and hello parade through their students' neighborhoods.

"I think it is so nice to get out and do something fun, see our kindergartners and all our students and they will be excited to see us."

Kids and parents lined the streets, excited to catch a glimpse of their teachers.

"It's very exciting but I am upset because we are not in school, but it was exciting to see my teachers," said Paige.

Honk and hello parades are being held in many school districts across Long Island as a way to remind students they are loved and missed by their teachers.
