Officials: 28 Texas spring breakers return to state with coronavirus following trip to Mexico

Public health officials in Austin say more than two dozen spring breakers took a trip to Mexico and returned to Texas with coronavirus.

Public health officials in Austin say more than two dozen spring breakers took a trip to Mexico and returned to Texas with coronavirus.

According to the University of Texas, all 28 of them tested positive for COVID-19, and all are students from its Austin campus.
Officials say around 70 students in total flew on a chartered flight to Cabo San Lucas a week and a half ago.

Authorities have contacted every spring breaker on the flight. Dozens more of them are undergoing testing.
