STORM WATCH: Rain transitioning to snow to create slick early commute

Rain that will transition to snow will make for a slippery commute early Thursday.
A winter weather advisory was issued for Long Island from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Light to moderate snow will start to fall around 4 a.m. and continue until the early afternoon. A total of 1 to 3 inches will be possible for some areas of Long Island.
Cold temperatures will then settle in for Friday and the start of the weekend.
Highs will only be near 25 degrees Friday ahead of the chance for a few flurries by early Saturday.
Sunday will be slightly warmer with highs in the mid-30s.
