Bitter blast expected Wednesday, monitoring snow Friday to Saturday

News 12 meteorologists say another bitter blast of cold weather is expected.
Tuesday will have scattered slippery spots possible early. Clouds will then break for some sunshine. It will be mild in the afternoon, with highs in the upper-30s to low-40s. Lows Tuesday night will be around 16 degrees.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny and cold, with highs in the 20s. The evening will be mainly clear with lows around 6 degrees and wind chills below 0.
It will be mainly sunny Thursday and still quite cold, with highs in the 20s. Lows will be around 19 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mainly cloudy with a few snow showers during the day, then a steadier and possibly heavier snow by nightfall.  Highs around 33. Lows around 19.
SATURDAY: Tracking a major storm to our east. It's still close enough to where we could get brushed by some heavier bands of plowable snow.  Amounts will depend on track, which at this moment has the core impacts trending a bit farther east across New England.  Highs around 28. Lows around 15.
