The storm began Tuesday and lasted until early Wednesday morning.
Some coastal communities like Fairfield and Stratford received lower snow totals while towns like Monroe and parts of Litchfield County got more.
A few flurries continued to linger in parts of the state Wednesday, but the storm has moved out of the region.
Thursday through the weekend is expected to be very cold with wind chills making it feel like 15 degrees below zero, News 12 meteorologists say.
