Worldwide maple syrup shortage to hit breakfast tables

Worldwide supply shortages have hit the breakfast table in a big way, and now maple syrup is running dry in Canada.
A lead producer in Quebec says it's now tapping into its reserves to deal with supply strains.
The group says it's releasing about 50 million pounds of syrup. That's almost half of its stockpile.
Quebec produces about 70% of the world's maple syrup.
