18ds agoIndependent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy made a pit stop in downtown Brooklyn Wednesday to announce he has enough signatures to appear on the ballot in New York state for the upcoming November presidential election.
Despite having the required 45,000 signatures, his campaign says they hope to double that number because the expect his petition to be challenged.
Kennedy is a former Democrat who is now running as a independent.
During a press event at Hana House on Adams Street, Kennedy said he is the only candidate he believes can beat former President Trump.
He presented new polls that he says show he would win the presidency in a two way race with Trump.
He used the platform to call on Biden to agree to a "No Spoiler Pledge" that essentially would require the lowest polling candidate between Kennedy and Biden to drop out of the race before the November election in an effort to prevent Trump from winning.
So far, Kennedy is officially on the ballot in three states and says he has enough signatures to be on the ballot in at least seven more states.
