Police are investigating after a body was found outside an East New York apartment building on Thursday morning.
Police say they received a call of a man unconscious near the corner of Eldert Lane and Dumont Avenue.
Once on the scene, they say they found a 26-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to the head.
Police believe the man was injured around 1:30 a.m.
Several people who live nearby say the man was lying there for several hours before the police arrived.
