A 100-year-old Yankees fan got the surprise of a lifetime for her centenarian celebration.
Rose Manlio, who lives in an assisted living home, received four free tickets from her favorite team. Caregivers from Connecticut's Village Green of Wallingford had contacted the Bronx Bombers in hopes of getting a signed ball for Manlio, but they did one better and sent tickets.
Manlio says she loves the team and all its players, but hadn't been to a game since the 1950s when Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris were on the field.
