Police busted a drug ring in East New York that is allegedly linked to 15 overdoses, three of them deadly.
Investigators tell News 12 the drugs were sold out of a car in the parking lot of the Gateway Shopping Center for more than six years.
“Operation Gateway" by the Nassau County DA, Nassau County Police Department and Long Island Heroin Task Force. A total of 15 people were arrested. Allegedly at the center of it all is Luis Rivera and Orlando Rodriguez, who are cousins.
Police say they ran the operation from Brooklyn, selling to 13 drug dealers on Long Island.
News 12 is told part of the operation was actually run out of an SUV that had a secret compartment where the drugs were hidden.

Throughout the investigation, police say they seized $1.2 million in cash and more than $88,000 doses of heroin.
