Two men remain in critical condition following a tractor-trailer crash into the Westchester Avenue overpass on the Hutchinson River Parkway.
Officials say the truck was heading northbound when it hit the low bridge, causing the trailer to detach and crash into two bridge inspectors, identified as Charles Howell and William Mack, who were working at the bridge.
The men were taken to Jacobi Medical Center and are not expected to survive their injuries, according to officials.
Residents say there are multiple warning signs on the parkway warning truck drivers of the low bridges on the parkway.
