Two of the seven suspects charged in connection with an alleged gay hate crime in University Heights are scheduled to appear in court today.
According to authorities, Luis Garcia, Rudy Vargas and five others, beat, tortured and sodomized three men in a house on Osbourne Place in 2010.
Prosecutors say the group of men attacked the victims, which include two teenagers and a 30-year-old man, because they believed they were gay.
