The Red Cross is helping out two Wakefield families who just lost their homes in a fire.
The fire broke out yesterday at a two-family home on East 217th Street.
Both families were put up in hotels by the organization and given funds to replace clothing lost in the flames.
The fire also damaged the home of the next-door neighbor, forcing him to stay in a hotel until his home is repaired.
The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
