A nearly $200 million investment is bringing more affordable housing to East New York.
Residents and officials gathered on Livonia Avenue to celebrate the revitalization of more than 400 homes and the addition of more than 200 new affordable housing units.
The Livonia Commons project is in the second phase of construction. Altogether, it preserves 710 affordable units in the area, along with 30,000-square feet of community and retail space
The new units are expected to be ready for occupancy in early 2018.
