Four Bronx residents, including two children, are among the five victims killed in a car accident in Queens Sunday morning.
According to police, a Mercedes SUV was traveling on Atlantic Avenue in Jamaica when it hit a concrete pillar and burst into flames as it flipped over. They believe speed played a factor, but have not released information on how fast the car was going.
Officials say an 8-year-old girl, a 9-year-old boy and two women, ages 45 and 60, died at the scene. They lived on Baker Avenue in Parkchester.
The 45-year-old driver is in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital, along with a 7-year-old boy and 26-year-old man, who are all also from The Bronx.
