Four Williamsbridge businesses that were forced to temporarily close are now getting back on their feet more than one week after a fire.
On August 10, flames broke out at the Samba Lounge on East Gun Hill Road , damaging it and four other businesses on the same block. The neighboring businesses were forced to close after utilities in the area were shut off. Officials say both power and water have since been turned back on.
The property manager told News 12 The Bronx that he is scheduling an inspection of the building so that the gas can be turned on.
Officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
