90-year-old Holocaust survivor struck, killed by car in Brooklyn

<p>A 90-year-old Holocaust survivor&nbsp;was killed after being struck by a car while walking across the street in Brooklyn, police say.</p>

A 90-year-old Holocaust survivor was killed after being struck by a car while walking across the street in Brooklyn, police say.
The incident happened Thursday at Ralph Avenue and Avenue L around 7:24 p.m.
Nissen Krakinoswki, 90, was struck and killed as he crossed the street Thursday after leaving his synagogue. 
Police say Krakinoswki was struck by a light blue-colored Jaguar heading southbound on Ralph Avenue while he attempted to cross the street.
Krakinoswki suffered severe head trauma, police say.
He was transported to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 
His family says the Lithuanian native was the sole survivor of his family who all had perished during the Holocaust. 
Krakinoswki moved to the United States and Brooklyn after WWII.  
The driver of the car remained at the scene, and police say no charges have been filed, but they are investigating the incident.
Krakinoswki did not use a crosswalk, officials say.
