According to a AAA study, teen drivers are more likely to be involved in a fatal accident when one or more teens are in the car with them.
According to the study, a 16- or 17-year-old driver with another teen in the car is 44 percent more likely to die in a crash than with no passenger at all.
The study says that having two teen passengers doubles the risk and three teen passengers quadruples the risk.
The AAA study also says that putting a passenger over 35 years old in the car with a teen driver reduces the risk of a fatal crash 65 percent.
