A Brooklyn lawmaker wants city residents to save money while taking advantage of what their hometown has to offer.
Brooklyn Assemblyman William Colton released a plan Sunday to give residents discounts on things ranging from transit fares to participating businesses.
Colton's idea mirrors plans already in effect in Florida for residents there to enjoy theme parks and in San Diego for their residents to take advantage of recreational activities.
The discount card would take the same form as a MetroCard, making it easy for residents to carry around.
