Another attempted child luring reported in Brooklyn
Police are looking for a man believed to have tried to lure a child in Williamsburg.
The incident, which happened near Manhattan Avenue and Moore Street, is the second attempted abduction reported in Brooklyn in the last month.
Authorities have released a sketch of the suspect, who they say pulled up to an 11-year-old girl in a silver SUV as she was walking alone at around 6 p.m. back on Friday, March 13.
According to investigators, the man was waving at the victim to come toward him, but she ignored him and kept walking. They say he then got out of the vehicle, followed her and continued to wave until she ran off.
Cops have also released surveillance images of the suspect and the SUV he was driving. He's believed to be about 35 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
Police are not connecting this incident with an attempted abduction in Brownsville earlier this week, but they are urging anyone with information on either case to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
