Residents in Bay Ridge complained Thursday that the Department of Transportation has to step in and control dollar vans in their area.
According to neighbors who live at the intersection of 56th Street and 12th Avenue, their homes have become an unofficial stop for the dollar vans, which provide cheap transportation around New York.
Residents say the vans stop in the middle of the street and clog up traffic on an already busy road. Authorities are trying to patrol the area more frequently to prevent the vans from causing traffic back up or stopping in the street.
