The union representing Bee-Line bus drivers and mechanics has authorized a strike, potentially leaving Bronx riders in need of alternate transportation into Westchester County.
Local 100 members and bus owner Liberty Lines are in contract negotiations, but yesterday the union said service would come to a halt if an agreement isn't reached by Wednesday's deadline.
Without a compromise, 400 drivers and 150 mechanics are prepared to hit the picket line, affecting about 100,000 passengers.
