Bensonhurt's "Ice Cream Girl" returned to action this Memorial Day weekend.
Maria Campanella has been serving up ice cream in the neighborhood for nearly 30 years in a classic ice cream truck.
She inherited the truck from her father, "Chubby," who began selling ice cream after exiting the Army in 1944 with a push cart and a bicycle.
Neighborhood children call Maria "Ia" for short, and she says they even have their own dance for when they spot her truck.
She says that when she retires, she hopes a museum will exhibit the truck.
