A bicyclist is dead after being struck by a truck in Williamsburg Thursday night.

It happened just after 11:30 p.m. at the corner of Marcy Avenue and Broadway.

Police say a 25-year-old woman was riding her bike heading eastbound when she was hit by the truck.

Investigators say it appears the driver was traveling in the same direction, but it's not clear exactly how they collided or if the driver even knew the biker was there.

The woman died at the scene.
