Bike tour, road work to divert weekend traffic
Traffic will be diverted in some parts of the borough as cyclists and construction workers hit the streets this weekend.
Bike MS runs throughout the city Sunday morning, shutting down the Henry Hudson Bridge from 7 a.m. until noon. Northbound access from the FDR Drive will also be closed, along with the Harlem River exit, from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m.
Anyone traveling between Queens and Manhattan will also run into some closures and delays. Beginning at 11 p.m. Friday and lasting until 2 a.m. Monday, the Manhattan-bound Queens-Midtown Tunnel will have one tube closed, forcing the other to take on two-way traffic.
On mass transit, weekend track work is scheduled across several subway lines. Straphangers are advised to allow extra time and double check schedules.
