BK families to mark Columbus Day at Prospect Park
Prospect Park will be buzzing with activity today as Brooklyn families celebrate Columbus Day.
The Audubon Center is opening its doors with free admission from noon until 4 p.m., giving kids a chance to learn about the wildlife that calls the park home. The carousel will also be running for just $2 a ride.
All public schools, government offices, court houses and the DMV are closed for the holiday. Drivers also get a break from alternate side parking, which is suspended.
