A Brooklyn police officer has pleaded guilty to four conspiracy counts in connection with a smuggling scheme.
William Masso, an 18-year veteran, is among five NYPD officers charged last October for an alleged smuggling ring involving guns, cigarettes and slot machines. Some of the men worked at the 68th Precinct in Bay Ridge.
According to prosecutors, Masso was the mastermind behind the crimes. He faces up to six years in prison when sentenced on June 15.
